CHRIS UPDIKE - Director of Coaching

Chris Updike, our Director of Coaching, has been coaching soccer for almost 20 years.  He played youth soccer growing up in Cherry Hill, NJ, and started coaching when his children started playing for Cinnaminson SC in 2003.  Chris formed Burlington County Soccer Academy in 2009 for which he still serves as president/DOC.  He has coached at the high school level for Holy Cross HS in Delran, NJ; and Doane Academy in Burlington, NJ.
He is the current head coach of the Riverside High School Girls Varsity Soccer team.
Coach Updike was named the Freedom Division Coach of the Year in the Fall 2023 Season.
He has several coaching certificates from USSF and United Soccer Coaches Association including a National C license and Advanced Regional Diploma.  Over the years Chris has helped develop many players who have gone on to play in college at Division I, II & III.  Chris can be found playing indoor and outdoor soccer when not coaching the youth of the area.
